| Review:
The "reality wife" is a sexy young lady named Kari
(husband/cameraman/stunt dick=Chris) who seems to have made the jump
from camshows to her own website. That's a pretty common career
trajectory in this business, and Kari's site is very typical of the
amateur horny-housewife, DIY school of Internet porn. The main page says that
it is "the web's most original amateur porn website". Well,
not quite. It's OK as far as it goes, but when we visited it had only
just launched, and so "as far as it goes" didn't go that far.
There are two main sections of video and pics (the videos also come
with "screen grabs"). There were 7 streaming videos
("Sorry, No Right-clicking!") of around 15 minutes each,
divided into 3 minute clips. Picture quality is OK at around 350 kb/s, but the
presentation is definitely limited by the POV/fixed camera you find in most couple-produced porn (in this case Chris is taking all
the pictures and shooting all the video). There were about 600 pics in
the Pictures section. These were average. Updates are occurring every
week, but obviously there's still a lot of room to grow.
As we began by saying, Kari is hot. She looks good with her short
professional haircut, and performs well. But in addition to needing time
to fill out, there are two main things that struck us as missing with
her site. In the first place there needs to be some attempt at making it
more original. The site features Kari fucking hubby in different rooms
in her house. A living room. The bathroom. The bedroom. The computer
room. The laundry room. This doesn't add up to a lot of variety. Given
that Kari only has the one partner and she isn't working any particular
fetish (or any fetish at all that we can see), she needs to do something
to stand out from what is a pretty crowded field.
The other big issue we had was with the video. It is all streaming.
Only 7 videos and you can't download any of them (though there is one
archived camshow you can grab)! This is not what we want to see. We trashed
Jenna
Jameson for pulling this stunt on her fans, and Kari isn't Jenna
Jameson (yet).
The extras are skimpy. You get access to the Camz Network. It wasn't
clear what Kari's own camshow schedule was. As noted, there is one of
her shows you can download. There was a link to a blog (the Reality Wife
Confessional), but it didn't have any entries when we visited. Instead,
there was a message that the main page in the members section would have
her daily thoughts and the Confessional would be an archive.
We would love to see this site again a year from now. The potential
is there. Will it be realized?
