NOVEMBER 2007 RE-VISIT
We came back to look at this site about three and a
half years after our initial review and found it to still be an
excellent site. In particular, what impressed us the most this time was
the way it's maintained its originality. The material here just has a
look that's different than what you see on any other porn site. It's not
that the technical quality is any better. The best video here is Windows
Media format, 1700 kb/s and 640x480. And that's just average now for
studio sites (three years ago, of course, it was awesome). The photos
are also just 800x1200 pixels, which is fine but isn't going to blow
anyone away.
The girls are good, but not spectacular. The emphasis
is on natural amateurs, and most of them are pretty sweet. A couple we
noticed were real stunners. A few semi-pro names you might
recognize.
The
content
covers
a
good
variety
of
stuff.
Some
solo
toy
play.
A
bit
of
light
lesbian
fooling
around.
Not
a
whole
lot
of
boy-girl,
but
it's
there.
The
"deviations"
section
has
a
little
bit
of
kink.
The
interview
"confessions"
seem
to
have
been
superseded
by
massage
sessions
with
Sal.
Good
move.
An
erotic
massage
is
more
fun
to
watch
than
the
interviews.
Our
only
complaint
about
these
was
the
reliance
on
the
vibrator
wand
to
get
the
girls
off.
This
may
be a
terrific
device
for
inducing
orgasms,
but
it's
useless
to
watch.
It
doesn't
do
anything
but
hum.
Updates
are
coming
five days a week
(on
weekdays),
and
when
we
visited
this
time
they
were
up
to
over
300
episodes,
which
is
good.
The
site
is
still
set
up
the
same
way
though,
which
is
weird
since
things
like
the
fiction
and
the
advice
columns,
which
were
pretty
much
dead
three
years
ago,
are
still
prominently
featured.
So
why
do
we
still
like
this
site
so
much?
It's
that
feeling
of
difference.
Somehow
or
other
Sal
just
has
a
way
of
making
the
sex
seem
more
natural
and
sexy
at
the
same
time
than
anyone
else
we
can
think
of.
Abby
Winters,
for
example,
does
a
great
job
with
the
"natural"
part,
but
isn't
always
sexy.
And
there
are
tons
of
sites
out
there
that
can
do
sexy
without
a
bit
of
naturalness.
But
this
site
manages
to
do
both.
It's
not
for
everyone.
It's
definitely
not
gonzo,
though
the
close-ups
are
handled
very
well.
And
we
thought
that
with
all
of
the
new
content
they've
been
adding
they
should
have
installed
some
kind
of
advanced
search
function
letting
you
browse
content
by
category
or
body
type
or
whatever.
As
it
is
now
you
just
have
a
big
list
of
episodes.
So
we
didn't
think
it
was
doing
as
much
as
it
could
to
keep
up
in
the
fiercely
competitive
and
always
advancing
porn
environment.
But
it
has
its
own
look
and
sensibility
and
that's
something
we
appreciate.
MARCH 2004 REVIEW
Little Mutt (don't ask where the name comes from, it's a long story)
packages itself as "Elite Smut": the "beginning of a new
era in Internet porn." Its founder, former
mainstream filmmaker Sal Paradise, declares his intention off the top
"to re-invent internet pornography" and "raise the
standard."
If that seems a little high-falutin', and maybe a little pretentious,
don't worry. Little Mutt is not
softcore erotic art. On the other hand, it is also something a little
gentler than what Sal describes as
"balls out raunchy sex." It's sexy, but natural and
relaxed.
When we first visited this site at the time of its launch its main sections
were shaping up to be a sex advice column
written by a real lady doctor, erotic fiction by a real bestselling
author (you know because he has three names), and a good size video archive of
amateur sex. A year later the sex advice and erotic fiction seem to have
stalled somewhat. Previous updates were months ago.
But the video . . .
The main focus is on the videos, which are also available for
purchase on VHS or DVD as "Director's Cuts" (what you get to download are called "Web
Cuts",
which include all the good stuff but are not complete movies). This
material is all exclusive. The video
clips are well presented in large, high resolution Windows and RealPlayer files.
Many of the clips, and all the newer ones, are also available in
"super high-res" wmv formats. (Note, however, that only the
shorter clips--around five minutes--can be downloaded in super high-res.
The full-scene clips, which run around 30 minutes, are just regular
high-resolution. Still very sharp though.) How super is super high-res?
Around 1700 kb/s. So it's good video.
The action features attractive young women (no skanks!) in solo (with
toys), boy-girl and lesbian action. In addition, a new series of videos
are called "Confessions", and feature one of the models
talking about what turns her on and her sexual experiences, usually
while getting herself off. Like everything else, it seems very natural
and relaxed. As mentioned,
there is nothing softcore about it, but it is differently paced. It's hard to explain the curious attraction of the
film-making. The
combination of highly professional camerawork, editing and sound with
what is pure amateur action creates an authentic atmosphere of charged
sexuality. The effect is quite unlike anything else we've seen either
online or anywhere else. It may not be "elite", but it's
certainly different. And, we thought, very appealing.
Our major concern with this site a year ago was with its schedule of updates.
For now, some kind of update is occurring weekly. Given the high quality
of the video, that seems fair. The content is growing steadily. There
were 30 models on tap when we visited, each with quite extensive
Web-cuts and photo galleries. Each clip can be downloaded in several different formats, and
as entire movies. It's not a huge variety of stuff, and doesn't cover a
lot of range (no kink, and almost all of the action takes place on a
bed), but in this case you're getting quality over quantity. The
membership is high-end, but not unfair. We look at
a lot of porn folks, and we probably downloaded more from this site than
from any other site we've been to in the last six months.
As with any good site, the site tour includes a very full preview of most of the videos
and girls available, and will give you a
good idea of what's inside. We wouldn't say it re-invents Internet
pornography, but it certainly does its part to raise the standard and
provide an alternative.
