The label "amateur" is a difficult one when it comes to
porn. As we have often had occasion to point out, many of the amateur sites
on the Internet are much better in terms both of the quality and quantity
of their material than those put out by the professionals. And under the amateur umbrella
itself there is a great deal of variety. Some amateur mega-sites like Wifey's World are huge, and
don't necessarily focus on a single performer.
Dawn's Place is a little more modest, but still a great site. The host is a fresh-faced
girl next door with a terrific body. Blessed with awesome natural boobs
(listed as 32DDD),
she has a wholesome appearance that is appealingly different. No
tattoos, no piercings--and she even wears glasses! That's almost a
fetish in itself these days.
Dawn features a good variety of content on her site, with a slight
emphasis on public flashing. Exhibitionism fans take note! Other stuff
includes the
usual masturbation, toys, hardcore, and oral (including a good
selection of cum eating), as well as some minor fetish (one shaving
video, one peeing, one bondage set). Her bio says she's been married for
a while, which means her husband is her major prop (and cameraman).
There is quite a lot of material, with 20 video pages when we visited
featuring 10 clips each of between 4 to 7 megs
(around 1 to 2 minutes long). The photo galleries are even larger,
including well over 200 sets.
Vidcaps are also available for all of the newer videos. Other features
include a diary, chats, and, best of all, a bunch of audio files (MP3s)
of Dawn telling her fantasies. Good idea! Updates occur at least once a
week and the content is all original.
As noted, Dawn's Place will be of special appeal for people who want
to see the girl next door get dirty. While this is pretty much
no-holes-barred action, there is still something sweet and innocent
about Dawn, especially as compared to the "wild and dirty
slut" personas adopted by most amateurs. She even coughs
when she swallows cum!
The site design is very professional and attractive. It does use a
lot of frames, however. While frames make navigation easy (as it is
here), they also tend to crowd the display area. As a result, the
thumbnails for the different galleries are too small. The option to view
captures alongside the video clips is a good idea, but the captures can
only be viewed by a slideshow, not as a gallery sheet. Also the photos
are initially viewed in an intermediate size that can then be blown up
to full size. This is too much design.
While the one-on-one is part of the amateur charm, and the effect
here is to make porn that is sexy and real, there are limitations. It is
hard for Dawn's husband to be cameraman in addition to his regular
duties. While this
works for shooting blow-jobs, it's not as effective for sex. The video
quality is good here, but on a few occasions we were hoping someone else
could have been directing the scene/holding the camera. The material is
quite creative though, and benefits from Dawn's ability to play to the
camera, improvise, and try out a variety of kinks. In addition to having the looks, she is a great
natural performer. Another excellent amateur site, of special appeal
for fans of the girl (or married woman) next door.
