Let's face it, most individual performer porn sites have a very
similar structure and it doesn't take long to get the lay of the land.
You want to check out the photo galleries and the video section, see how
often they're updating, maybe drop in on a chat. If it's a really
conventional site a porn reviewer has to find ways to keep him (or
her-)self mentally alert.
When we were browsing through AmandaLexx.com we came up with the
following game: Since the video page doesn't offer any information as to
what the individual clips are about, and there aren't any thumbnails to
go with them, how many of the videos (there were 51 when we visited)
could we identify from their titles alone? This is a challenge worthy of
even the most veteran of softcore porn surfers. Sure, anyone can guess
that "School's Out" has Amanda in a schoolgirl skirt and "Stairway
to Heaven" has Amanda on a stairway, but what about links that are
simple labeled "Seduction", "Sweet Treat",
"Insatiable", and "Redhot" (or, as a clever later variation has it, "Red Hot")?
"A Taste of Summer" fooled us. We thought we'd see some
girl-girl between Amanda and a babe named Summer. Wrong. Just solo
posing in lingerie. "American
Heros [sic]" really had us stumped. It turned out to be a
rough-looking clip
from Suzi-Simpson.com with three babes dressed as a cop, a
soldier and a construction worker dancing to Springsteen's "Born in
the USA" (did somebody tell The Boss?). The Village People of
porn. Who would have thought?
Actually, given that so much of the content is so similar, there
wasn't a lot of guesswork involved. Amanda's last name is Lexx, not
Lexxx.
No third X means no hardcore. And not only no hardcore, but only
softcore softcore. What is softcore softcore? That's when solo posing
and "masturbation" never progresses as far as full insertion,
with a toy or a finger. Now once you take that away you aren't left with
a lot of things to do except to take your clothes off. Slowly. And so as far as content
goes, that's what you get here.
Amanda is a stacked blonde Playboy/fitness model babe. An "About
Me" page gives her vital statistics (and not much else) in FAQ
format. A new gallery is added every week. Since the site has been going
for about five years it has over 200 galleries, with typically 40 pics a
gallery. As noted, there isn't a lot of variation. No cock or toy work.
Some very mild girl-girl stuff. The main difference in the sets is the
different clothes Amanda is stripping out of. The picture size and
quality is good, but a number of the pictures put the focus on her face, and
not her pussy, even when her pussy was in the foreground. This is a
strange aesthetic decision, where the foreground is usually in focus. We
also thought there seemed to be a lot of air-brushing. As a general rule
there are few close-ups. Most of what you get are full-body shots. It
would be nice if Amanda would work with some different photographers and
experiment with different styles of photography.
As noted, there were 51 videos when we visited. We really missed not
having more info on the video page. No thumbnails, scene descriptions or
file infomation. This hurts because there is really a wide variety of
stuff here in terms of quality. The content is consistent: mostly
softcore posing and stripping to the muzak, with a few very gentle
girl-girl sets. But some of the videos are really crude and others are
top quality. At least the newer ones are quite professional and have
good playback. One movie with Amanda and Sandee Westgate was gorgeous. You can only download one format, which is a
high-resolution wmv file. Another reason to give more information on
this page. Even the camshow archives have thumbnails!
Speaking of which, you can view Amanda's past cam shows as streams or
slideshows. Amanda does cam shows once a week with either Camz or AmateurCamHouse
(both of which you get). Past cam shows are all archived, In our opinion
you have to really be a fan
to get excited by vidcaps from a cam show, but at least it's all there.
She also has a "Spy Cam" set up but we couldn't figure out how
it worked. We take full blame for this.
Extras include "The Amateur" (online magazine), some
friends, and "Goodies" (not goodies for you, but "Goodies
for Sale"--it's a store).
This is a very tame site without any special effort put into
the presentation. But you do get Amanda's chats and a lot of pics and video.
Just don't expect anything heavy.
